Review by Julien Salomoni (Rating: 5):

That was basically My beginning in Vancouver, as a French Parisian who just immigrated here, and such a nice surprise, a great welcoming that I had with unforgettable stunning views… it’s providing peace and such inspiration just within the 12th floor… I’ll never forget those beautiful and different canvas every day, every nights… I’m thankful and grateful for such a lovely person who believed in me: Natalia, If you’re reading that review, well I still think of you ♥️ thank you for getting me an apartment in the International Plaza Apartments. Back then it was only $1600… it’s an old building but so unique that I recommend it no matter what. I’ll provide pictures as a proof ;) - 5 months ago | Review by Keith Tocher (Rating: 5):

Long time renter here. fantastic view, concrete building, balcony, garden with tennis courts, and gated underground parking. a special shout out to maintenance and building operations staff! quick service and efficient with rental portal and email updates. only downside over 400 suite so a lot of dissrespectful tenants leaving trash behined but most are very friendly and helpful - 2 years ago | Review by Isabela Souza (Rating: 5):

We are long term renters and we love the building and staff. The building is a little older, so the units don't have all the amenities, but they compensate in size. The views and location can't be beat. Any concerns we had were always dealt properly. Natalia and Steven are attentive and super helpful. I can see management always trying to improve the building. - a year ago | Review by Faith Leanne (Rating: 5):

    Pros:
-Amazing management, gold stars to you Natalie and Steve.

-Cleaning Crew. There is a older man who goes around cleaning up the elevators, hallways, and even the dumpster area making sure its nice and not too trashy. He does an amazing job and is pretty friendly.

-Location is great. Walking distance to the bus stop, library, park, grocery store, restaurants, shops, the mall, there is no need for a car living here.

-Renovated elevators, lobby, and laundry room looks great.

-Tenant Portal offers easy ways to submit requests if you have a problem and also you have the option to pay rent online.

    Cons:
-Noise. Like most apartments, if you have noisy neighbors you will know it. Wasn't too much of a problem for me though, even with a new born next door. The native's outside can be a little loud sometimes with their drums and parties. When summer time comes and the weather is nice you can hear loud drunk people outside being obnoxious. Summers here aren't too long though, so again not much of an issue.

-Price. On their website its over 2k a month for rent. I got very lucky and took over an old contract, which included older rent prices. I would not pay to live in a studio for over 2k, not worth it. Their washer machines are small to use, I need to pay for 2 machines always. The dryers are bigger, though. Laundry price goes up this summer, which is a shame.

-Red Ants. As previous reviews show, there are pavement ants living in the apartment complex. These ants are very difficult to get rid of unless the whole apartment complex gets treatment done all at once. I sent in information about it already because I work for a pest control company, but we'll see if they'll want to follow through.

-Parking. When I first moved in, the parking garage on my side of the apartment was full. I parked at the park area for 11 months straight with no issues, until 1 day I finally got ticketed. Technically no one is allowed to be parked at the outdoor park for more than 2 hours, but there really is no where else to park your car unless you do it a block away in some neighborhood.

Despite my large paragraphs, overall I enjoyed my stay here. It was a little cramped for 2 people living in a studio, but it's what I can afford. The view from the window is lovely. Management is great. The ants are gross, but again that problem can be solved with the right actions being taken. - 6 months ago | Review by Fred Al (Rating: 1):

I am introducing you to the most abusive manager, "Natalie".
    Welcome to Bedbug Plaza.

    Update 01/OCT/24
In response to the management’s comment, I want to share my experience:
I have attached the actual photos taken at International Plaza, in our apartment, which I took myself.

The problem with Natalie is that while she initially welcomes you warmly like a good sales representative, things change when issues arise. She becomes abusive towards tenants, and I believe she enjoys it because most tenants are newcomers who don’t know their rights. They’re already overwhelmed with all the changes happening in their lives.

When I raised a concern about our apartment being infested with bedbugs, her response was aggressive. She accused us of bringing the bedbugs into the building. However, when I later reached out to the office staff, they admitted that this is a major issue and that they are struggling to fix it, as the bedbugs are spreading through the units via electrical outlets and other openings.

Some people may not notice their presence. The problem with bedbugs is that they don’t bite everyone equally; they tend to target some individuals more than others. This is why only one family member may get bitten while others don’t. So, just because you haven’t been bitten doesn’t mean the bedbugs aren’t there. - 3 weeks ago
