Review by Aditi K (Rating: 5): We recently moved out of MODE apartment after a wonderful year. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional. If we could give it more than 5 stars, we would.

The apartment complex is clean and as soon as you enter the hallways, a soft scent welcomes you. The quality of material used to build the apartments is top notch quality and the staff is amazing. We never had any issues!

The USP of these apartments is the proximity to all the amazing restaurants, grocery stores in San Mateo. It is also well situated for all the best hiking spots in the peninsula.

Review by Hailey Hoang (Rating: 5): We have been staying here for a year and will be extending our lease. It has been an enjoyable stay and here are a number of nice things about the complex:
- It is a safe gated community. We like having a roofed garage that is only accessible to the tenants. We go to the gym very often too.
- The amenities are new. The kitchen is great. The dishwasher can clean dishes well with less scrubbing. The washer and dryer are newer models. We specifically looked for an apartment without those older washer/dryer units.
- The apartment has an AC.
- We love the community events and look forward to more milk tea/pizza/Halloween/Christmas events. The complex has their own club house that can also be reserved for private events.

Review by Gabrielle Moskey (Rating: 5): Lived here for 2 years and had a great 2 bed 2 bath. Style is modern, Community Room has tons of space, a little modern vending machine, and a kitchen you can reserve for parties. Also on the property is a gym with treadmills, weights, erg machine, etc, and small yoga room which I sometimes used for dance practice. There's two spacious outdoor courtyards (one with a firepit and propane grill). There's also a tiny dog park, and a package locker in the underground garage.

Peter and Jasmine in the office are super helpful and nice, and throw great parties in the community room every once in a while! Anytime I needed a new lightbulb or small repair, the Engineer Romel always came the next business day to fix it. No pest issues, they have a service coming for preventative care that I see around.

You can hear the train horn sometimes depending on where you are in the building, but it's not that bad as another place I was at in Burlingame. Overall, good place and good people :) - a year ago

Review by K O (Rating: 1): Never consider this place unless you are okay with:

1) The remote for the parking garage frequently does not work and no one can help to solve the problem immediately to let you in. Making a call to the emergency number also did not help because the staff could only provide the solution by asking you to wait outside of the garage until the other resident enter/exit the parking garage or park on the street.

2) The staff who work over the weekend in the office has no access to fix the remote during the weekend and resident being asked to wait until Monday.

3) Your key access to the apartment be suddenly denied and no one can fix it during the weekend and have to wait until Monday.

4) Not getting respond from the staff regardless of multiple emails to fix the issues.

Regardless of the high amount of the rent, the service of this apartment is really disappointing. - in the last week

Review by Zehua Chen (Rating: 5): Mode is very beautiful and clean outside and inside. The staff that I have encountered are friendly, professional, communicative and responsive. The studio I live is cheap (relatively speaking) but does not have a real window (it's a door with glass in the middle) and does not have great sunshine so it can be bit depressing at times. After move out they promptly refunded my deposit and I think the deductions are fair. - 7 months ago
