Review by Akshay Sadarangani (Rating: 4): We’ve been living here for a month now and overall, it’s been a good experience. The absolute highlight of this building is the amazing staff. Omar, the leasing agent, made our move-in process smooth and welcoming. Josh and Danny, the handymen, are always super helpful and responsive whenever anything comes up. Andy and Marco at the front desk are consistently friendly and professional, and most of the package room team are great to deal with too. Everyone really works hard to make residents feel at home.

The views from the apartments are also fantastic — definitely one of the major perks of living here.

That said, there are some drawbacks that are worth mentioning. Noise can be a real issue. Movements from upstairs neighbors — heavy footsteps and constant stomping — are very noticeable and can get very annoying. I suspect it’s partially due to the building’s structure and the fact that some spots on our own floor flex a bit underfoot, which probably amplifies sounds from above. We also have neighbors who leave their door open while they cook or smoke and that creates a lot of smell in the hallway and sometimes our apartment if we leave the door open for a couple minutes while taking out the trash. In addition, because of the building’s location near Barclays Center, there’s a fair amount of street noise and event noise and vibrations, especially on busy nights.

The unit itself is perfectly fine, but if you’re sensitive to noise (especially overhead stomping or street noise), you might want to take that into account before signing. - 2 months ago

Review by Eduardo Auset (Rating: 5): I'll skip the talk about the building itself [exceptional and unique], the neighborhood [hard not to love it] and the train accessibility [everything gets you here] ...since those things speak for themselves and can be seen on any website.

My review is an inside perspective as a three-year resident, and the highlight goes to ALL of the staff that run and works in the building.

- People at the front desk are so friendly and nice. It is hard to believe that they ALWAYS greet you with a smile and a "welcome back home" feeling.
- Packages staff is top notch, never ever had a single issue with any package.
- Huge shoutout to management. The people who work at the leasing office make an incredible team: they listen, they work with you and they find solutions. I've been lucky to initially start the lease with Omar Bran who always goes above and beyond with any inquiry, follows up immediately and he is an absolute pleasure to talk to. Later, I met Amy Benitez and Matt Meyers. The three of them make a phenomenal team, they truly care for their residents, and it shows every time you talk to them or have any request.

Overall, the place is amazing and the staff who work here are the key to making living here such a wonderful experience. I'd totally recommend it! - 2 months ago

I couldn’t recommend 461 Dean more highly. Everything about this building is exceptional. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a welcoming and cheerful front desk team. They go above and beyond, carefully labeling packages and even displaying package alerts on an LCD screen. If you have pets, they’ll be loved here—no dog walks past the front desk without being petted or given a treat.

The apartments themselves are well-maintained with ample storage. Any time I had an issue—whether it was with appliances, electrical, or plumbing—maintenance requests were always handled within 24 hours. The common areas are always spotlessly clean. The leasing office is equally impressive: warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. It’s clear that everyone in this building is dedicated to ensuring a great living experience.

The rooftop offers stunning views of Brooklyn, and I’ve enjoyed many beautiful sunsets there. The location is also fantastic, surrounded by great restaurants, coffee shops, and gyms. Both the move-in and move-out processes were seamless, professional, and convenient. Don’t hesitate! - 9 months ago
