Review by Kenneth Armstrong (Rating: 4): Beautiful Apartment wonderful location and door men. It’s advertised as $4600 however after fees its really $7000. Also they took my $8000 then the next day denied me because my credit score. There was no option to add a co signer or pay extra deposit. A sibling helped me get the place after all. I left it spotless and am still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. The lobby was under construction my entire 31 day visit. - 3 months ago
Review by Mandy Jones (Rating: 5): I rented an appt in LES, Manhattan for 2-months via Blueground and had an amazing experience. The apartment was spacious and well-fitted with all mid cons, clean and beautifully presented. Immediate household and person items were provided. There were a few issues but my liaison person dealt with them immediately with professional efficiency. The building was well maintained, quiet and in a fab location - the building supervisor was also really helpful. Loved my stay and will rent from Blueground again - a month ago
Review by Dening L (Rating: 1): If you want to be forced to relocate on the day of your surgery, Blueground is the company for you. My experience has been an absolute nightmare. After reporting a leak affecting the unit below me on January 31, 2025, I was informed that I needed to move for repairs. Despite cooperating with multiple technician visits throughout the week and even offering to accommodate another check after 6 PM, the building still entered my unit without my prior consent—a clear violation of my tenant rights.
I requested a permanent relocation on Jan 31 due to an upcoming surgery the following week, but Blueground ignored my request for days and only offered a temporary move, completely disregarding my health condition.
The worst part? On the afternoon of my surgery (February 5, 2025), instead of showing any concern, Melissa, a Blueground client experience manager, called me to intimidate me—saying that if I didn’t move, any damage to the unit would be my responsibility. This was despite the fact that Blueground had only assigned me a relocation unit that same morning. Her approach was beyond unprofessional and unacceptable.
After that intimidating phone call, I never heard from Melissa again—no follow-up, no support, nothing. Blueground left me to handle everything on my own while recovering from surgery.
Blueground’s lack of communication, disregard for tenant well-being, and outright intimidation tactics make this one of the worst housing experiences I’ve ever had. If you value your peace of mind, tenant rights, or even basic human decency, stay far away from this company. - 4 months ago
Review by Melody (Rating: 1): I came to the building. The apartment complex and apartment were much different than initially advertised in my opinion (plus the place stank and the shower head was missing)
I asked right away on the same day can I move buildings they said they’re not sure they need to check their relocation policy then they said I could if i paid a relocation fee.
Fine.
I look through Blueground and send them some options I’m interested in they said OK, but then sent me completely different (also terrible) options I say what about the ones I sent … they’re likes yeah those are available to.
Fine.
They say I can see them but I have to go self tour these options because no one can take me.
Fine
I go to one of the buildings I am there for over an hour (on a week day) because the building does not know what apartment to show me and none of us can get a hold of the Blueground office to confirm what’s free.
Fine.
I finally get to see the apartment, it’s not great but it will do (From what I’ve seen Blueground just does not have modern and clean options in New York ostensibly). I email them mid day saying okay how can I move - no response.
Fine.
I follow up finally someone responds sorry we can’t move you policy blah blah…. At this point it’s ridiculous.
Not fine.
If I could have given a 0 star I would have but I can only give 1. However, I guess through Blueground I found Level which is a great rental company with great quality apartments. I will not be using Blueground again. - 2 months ago
Review by Zephyrus Tavvier (Rating: 2): The apartments themselves are pretty good. Quality furnishings.
But the support is horrific. Kind of rock-bottom support despite being a premium priced product.
Support can take multiple days to respond and it pretty much useless, so just assume you're more or less on your own.
My last stay will be my last. I shortened my stay as planned and they say you can shorten with 30 day notice and be charged appropriately, but they kept an extra $2K they should have returned. It wasn't prorated properly. I mean, I understand shorter stays have different rates, often higher rates, and I accept that, but it still wasn't right, because I saw the rate before booking, and the rate they charge was way higher. Support was extremely unresponsive. And then even the short-changed refund, they didn't actually send it until I wrote in more than once. Very sketchy, would recommend staying away. - 3 weeks ago
