This property management is either crook (dishonest/con) or racially disseminate people when the they visit the property. All the classified website (kijiji and rent cafe) list the property at 1800-1875 AND even their company website (realstar), as seen in the photograph for this review. But when I went there, a clumsy old man Mr. R M told me the rent is $2175, and made an excuse that the ad on Kijiji is not done by them so they don't know who put that price. Mr RM, there is not one but THREE website puting the SAME price, which is different than what you verbally told me and wanted to do a paper application instead of online application.
Such a disgusting behaviour anybody could expect from a person if his has, either he was being dishonest / con, or just knows how to discriminate people. What sort of society we are creating for pur younger generations to come! Something to think about!!!! - a year ago | Review by John Irving (Rating: 5):
I lived at Braemar Gardens for three years. It was a great place to live. There are a couple of parks within walking distance, as well as grocery shopping and other stores nearby. I am going to miss the easy access to amenities. The rent includes hot water and heat (which is hot water baseboard radiators) so that is a nice bonus. The management team is excellent and I always felt that they were approachable and responsive. The building ALLOWS PETS, which is hard to find and very welcome. It is also a non-smoking building. (although some tenants sneak out onto their balcony)
One thing of note is that the water does get turned off about once or twice a month for maintenance. Management always lets you know ahead of time and most often it is turned back on sooner than expected. A bit of an inconvenience but really not a huge issue.
I've never had a problem with noise from the neighbors, but if you face the street you will have traffic noise. There is no way to avoid that.
If I ever need to move back to the area I will absolutely try to go back to the building. - 3 years ago | Review by Derek Carter (Rating: 4):
Breamar Gardens was a very comforting place for me to live, especially during the time of the covid pandemic. It is close to amenities, and was easy for me to navigate the neighborhood. The apartments are nicely renovated, which goes along with the management's dedication to the continuing improvement of the complex, along with the ongoing growth and improvements to the area. I can foresee the neighborhood becoming even nicer than it is now in the future. The management communicates very well when it comes to building notifications, and has offered plenty of advance notice concerning building upgrades and issues. - 3 years ago | Review by Kim LeMesurier (Rating: 4):
I have applied to this building and reading reviews I saw one negative that said the price was inaccurate. I was looking at the same time and I was quoted in several areas the correct price. Also that review has multiply negative reviews for various companies I have since moved in and the building is very well maintained. The apts are redone and are beautiful. The building managers are amazing guys. Very friendly and accommodating. - a year ago | Review by HUTE fest (Rating: 2):
Building is practically unlivable in the summer it's so hot. Has zero insulation and you get a lot of road noise from Brunette if you face it. Management is nice but they enter your unit far too much, sometimes without permission. Walls are pretty much paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbors do. Not a great neighborhood but it's cheap so I guess theres that. Lived there for 3 years and I wish I moved out sooner. Advertises 25 mins to downtown which is only true if you're driving at 4am, otherwise on transit it's over an hour. Youre better off sharing a 1 bedroom with someone downtown honestly if you can find one. Biggest plus is the park nearby is nice and there are a decent number of places to eat nearby.
Also why do you have to pay for parking when youre a 15 min walk from the skytrain and way out of any major hubs? A bit ridiculous if you ask me. Building management kind of invades your privacy by making you notify them if anyone is parking there overnight any time you have someone over. - 5 years ago
